Thousands of teenage eyes

Are looking everywhere

Searching curiously for a focal point. 

Some eyes focus on their shoes

Others on their clothes

Some eyes focus on school

Others on sports

Some eyes look to their hobbies

Others on their jobs and responsibilities

Some eyes might look towards popularity

Or turn their eyes toward fame and wealth

They might even look to family and friends

But all of them

Worry about what the other eyes see

Pupils darting left and right

Even if

Not a single pair of eyes

Is looking at them

Because after all

The most judgemental eyes

Are your own.
