Fill The Fence

Fill The Fence is a student-led art and activism project created by juniors Hannah Meit and Elliott Wagner-Smith as a way of safely protesting police brutality during the COVID-19 pandemic. Students, teachers, and anyone in the Bethesda community are welcome to create art in support of Black Lives Matter and post it on the Bethesda-Chevy Chase fence. So far, the project has raised over $400 for the Black Lives Matter organization and has filled many panels of the fence in front of B-CC. All are welcome to contribute and all pieces posted on the fence are for sale. Together, let’s show Bethesda what we care about.

All pieces are covered before severe storms. The art is also sprayed with a non-toxic waterproofing spray.
